So much to go and so much see to when you are in Manila…
Manila Ocean Park is one of the most visited park located at the back of
Luneta/Quirino Grand Stand…It is the first world-class oceanarium owned by China Oceanis Philippines Inc.,
a subsidiary of China Oceanis Inc., a Singaporean-registered firm that has
operated four oceanariums in China. Perfect location for educational
field trips and family get to gether made for young children and also fun for
any age…
Be sure that you know the rules and regulations as you enter the oceanerium… It must be observe for the sake of the species inside. They may be hurt / distubed by the flashing cameras so be sure to turn it off. No tapping on the aquarium, let’s be kind to them.
Moving on, the first section you are going to enter is
called AGOS(flow). This a combination of a jungle like and waterfalls. A
portion of it is covered by long roots which serves as a roof. The area
features the fresh water fishes in a rainforest, varieties of star fishes and
koi fishes. you can feed them by holding a feeding bottle,I enjoyed it as they
rush and suck the bottle with I guess it’s milk LOL!
The next section is called the OCEANARIUM showcases the
large marine biodiversity in multiple tank and aquariums. I love the varieties of
colors too! Stripes and dotted fishes, corals and crustaceans…I whisper to my
self how creative the Lord is.

Hi, how are you? |
|
It's a fish not a rock |
The most enjoyed part of it is the TUNNEL known as BUHAY NA
KARAGATAN (THE LIVING OCEAN) You’ll see ofcourse deep sea creatures swimming
over you…I feel like I belong! But at the back of my head is the fear of what if theres an earthquake and the
aquarium destroyed? There are sharks and sting rays, oh well forget about it,
LOL! By the way we saw an employee in a cge feeding the sharks with squids, man
diving fast down with the shark(shark attack) and reef walking in a astronautlike suit… I
guess theres a different charge for activities like it. Your kids can also
enjoy and learn from their science exhibit.

Let’s go up to the Second Floor… Tired feet? Why not dip in
their FISH SPA called "Doctor Fishes"? Or watch the manila bay and chill for a
while, or visit their souvinier shop for your friends and love ones, or dine in
their wide variations of food and resto overlooking the Manila Bay… Solve now?

jellies in capsule, it canges its color beautifully makes them look like their dancing |
If you think it’s over then don’t . The best part I love the
most was watching the sealion show, perfect!!! I love how they do the dancing
and their cute tricks, but in a way I pity those animals, I can see how tired
they are but kept performing to entertain their guest…After that you can visit
their habitat on the other side. This charge 100 pesos separate from the
entrance fee…

My friend and I avail the 500 peso promo which includes
Jellies: Dancing sea fairies, Sea Lion Show and Habitat… Each has different charge
when you avail only the entrance fee of 400 pesos.
What I like in Manila Ocean Park:
- learning
and fun
- entertaining
What I don’t like about it:
- I
can’t think how stressful it is for speceies on how many times they were
touched by people
- It
is not their natural habitat
- Animals
get tired too, I can see how the sea lion was tired and almost doesn’t want to
move.
